Neighborhood Revitalization Program Policy Board

The Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) Policy Board provides overall direction to the NRP Program and is primarily responsible for the review and approval of Neighborhood Action Plans, NRP Phase I & II Plan, and Neighborhood Priority Plans.

Membership Description:

Membership consists of:

  • The Mayor or designee
  • At least one Council Member from the City Council
  • At least one Member from the Board of Special School District No. 1
  • At least one Commissioner from the Park and Recreation Board
  • A representative from the Minnesota House of Representatives delegation from Minneapolis
  • A representative from the Minnesota Senate delegation from Minneapolis
  • Eight representatives of City-recognized neighborhood organizations

The Policy Board may appoint additional representatives of citywide community organizations, neighborhood organizations, business owners, labor, and neighborhood residents.

Must be a Minneapolis resident.

Selection Procedure:

The Mayor, City Council, and governing bodies from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, Minneapolis School Board, Hennepin County, and representatives from the Minneapolis House and Senate delegations shall appoint members to serve on the Policy Board.


Neighborhood organization representatives will be elected at the City's Community Connections Conference.
