The Minneapolis Advisory Committee on Aging advises the Mayor and City Council on concerns relating to senior citizens, acts as a liaison for the senior citizen community, recommends actions to solve such concerns, and advises and suggests programs and activities of value to senior citizens for the City of Minneapolis.

Membership Description:
Membership consists of one qualifying senior per ward, City residents who are 50 years of age or older, and four at large members representing community organizations with an interest in the aging community.
