The proven effectiveness and community support of the funded programs will encourage the City to provide ongoing funding following the grant period.
The City has committed funds for the Mobile Mental Health Response Unit pilot. The grant funds are to facilitate the implementation of the program. Ongoing cost for the EIS program includes the software subscription costs estimated at $250,000 annually as well as IT support costs. Operationally, the MPD anticipates the program will help mitigate the future risk of claim payments.
