The MPD and Mayor's Office is requesting City Contingency funds as the MPD continues to incur costs for officers on leave and as the Department incurs additional expenses during 2020 civil unrest.
Costs for the additional law enforcement personnel are based on a 45 day period, through December 31, 2020 and assumes a 12-person 10 hour mid-watch shift at an hourly rate plus variable fringe of $92 per hour.
