Public Hearing

  1. 2 Right-of-way permit fees ordinance This link open a new window(2022-00999)

    1. Passage of Ordinance amending Title 17 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Streets and Sidewalks, amending language regarding prescriptive denial, permissive denial, and discretionary issuance of right-of-way permits; standardizing fees for unpermitted work in the public right-of-way; and clarifying the permit denial appeal process:

      1. Chapter 430 In General.
      2. Chapter 437 Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Construction.

  2. 3 Park Lane Neighborhood Street Reconstruction: Project approval, assessment, and areaway abandonment This link open a new window(2023-00078)

    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $258,566.81 for the Park Lane Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2336 (PV131).

    2. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $165,000 for the Park Lane Neighborhood Streetscape Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2336 (PV131).

    3. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City's issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $258,566.81 for the Park Lane Street Reconstruction Project.

    4. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation authorize the City's issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $165,000 for the Park Lane Streetscape Project.

    5. Passage of Resolution ordering the City Engineer to abandon and remove the areaways located in the public street right-of-way that are in conflict with the street reconstruction projects in the Park Lane Project area.

    1. Passage of Resolution accepting donation from River Network of a litter capture boom system at Lake Hiawatha.

    2. Authorizing a maintenance agreement with Osprey Initiative LLC for maintenance of the litter capture boom system at Lake Hiawatha.

  2. 5 Hennepin Ave S (Lake St W to Franklin Ave W) Streetscape: Project designation, cost estimate, and setting public hearing This link open a new window(2023-00080)

    1. Passage of Resolution designating the location and streetscape improvements proposed to be made in the Hennepin Ave S (Lake St W to 28th St W) Streetscape Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 6776 (PV158).

    2. Adopting report receiving cost estimate in the amount of $440,000, directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefitted properties, and setting a public hearing for Mar 2, 2023, to consider the project and assessments.

    3. Passage of Resolution designating the location and streetscape improvements proposed to be made in the Hennepin Ave S (28th St W to Franklin Ave W) Streetscape Project, Special improvement of Existing Street No. 6776 (PV158).

    4. Adopting report receiving cost estimate in the amount of $600,000, directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefitted properties, and setting a public hearing for Mar 2, 2023, to consider the project and assessments.

    1. Authorizing a cooperative agreement with Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) for funding for the replacement of the 1st Ave S, 10th Ave S, Nicollet Ave S, and Pillsbury Ave S bridges over the Midtown Greenway. 

    Action Taken: Approved
