    1. Approving the reappointment by the Executive Committee of Gretchen Musicant to the appointed position of Commissioner of Health/Director of Health Department for a two-year term beginning Jan 2, 2018.

    Action Taken: Approved
  2. 3 Tobacco 21 ordinance This link open a new window(2018-00367)

    1. Passage of Ordinance amending Title 13, Chapter 281 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Licenses and Business Regulations:  Tobacco Dealers, amending provisions to increase the minimum age for sales or provision of tobacco products from 18 to 21.

    Action Taken: Approved as amended

    1. Setting a public hearing for June 4, 2018, to consider the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 3, Chapter 47 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Air Pollution and Environmental Protection:  Energy and Air Pollution, amending provisions related to nuisance odor.

    1. Passage of Resolution recognizing May 20, 2018, as The Day of the Transgender Child in the City of Minneapolis.

  3. 6 Minneapolis Advisory Committee on Aging appointments and reappointments This link open a new window(2018-00541)

    1. Approving the following City Council reappointments for two-year terms, beginning Jan 1, 2018, and ending Dec 31, 2019: Charlie Lakin, Seat 2, Ward 2; Flo Castner, Seat 5, Ward 5; Hazel Tanner, Seat 11, Ward 11; and Joanna Lees, Seat 13, Ward 13.

    2. Approving the following Mayoral appointments for completion of a two-year term beginning Jan 1, 2017, and ending Dec 31, 2018:  Mark Lucas, Seat 14, Member at Large; James Meyer, Seat 15, Member at Large; and Rebecca Furman, Seat 17, Member at Large.

    3. Approving the following Mayoral reappointment for a two-year term beginning Jan 1, 2018, and ending Dec 31, 2019:  Jean Greener, Seat 16, Member at Large.

    1. Accepting a grant from the Minneapolis Foundation/Environmental Legacy Fund, in the amount of $20,000, for the Minneapolis Solar Energy Green Business Initiative.

    2. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.
