Discussion

  1. 2 Paid Parental Leave Policy This link open a new window(EX2018-00021)
    1. Approving changes to the City's Paid Parental Leave Policy to allow for paid parental leave to be taken within six months of the birth or adoption of a child and to remove eligibility of registered domestic partners as spouses.  

    2. Referring the matter to the City Council.

  2. 3 Appointed position in the City Coordinator's Office: Director Strategic Initiatives This link open a new window(EX2018-00022)
    1. Adopting findings that the proposed position meets the criteria in Section 20.1010 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, City Council to Establish Positions.

    2. Approving the appointed position of Director Strategic Initiatives, evaluated at 665 total points and allocated to Grade 14.

    3. Approving the salary schedule for the position, which has a salary range of $123,288 to $146,149, in accordance with the adopted compensation plan for appointed officials effective July 31, 2018.

    4. Referring the matter to the City Council.

    1. Approving a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE, Local Union No. 13, AFL-CIO (Stagehands Unit), for the period Jan. 1, 2018, through Dec. 31, 2019.

    2. Approving the Executive Summary of the agreement.

    3. Authorizing a collective bargaining agreement consistent with the terms of the Executive Summary.

    4. Authorizing the Labor Relations Director to implement the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement upon ratification by the Union and adoption by the City Council.

    5. Referring the matter to the City Council.

    Action Taken: Approved and referred to Council meeting of Aug 17, 2018
