Discussion

  1. 2 Minnehaha 3000 update (2024-00376)

    1. Receiving and filing an update regarding 3000 Minnehaha Ave (former 3rd Precinct building), Fit plan analysis, and next steps.

      Action Taken: Received and filed

    2. Approving the Minnehaha 3000 – Draft Concept Plan, which is a recommendation to utilize the City property at 3000 Minnehaha Ave for future use by Election and Voter Services and for ground-floor community use.

      Action Taken: Continued to meeting of Apr 23, 2024
  2. 3 Update from Longfellow Community Council Executive Director on 3000 Minnehaha Community Engagement (2024-00380)

    1. Receiving and filing a presentation by Rachel Boeke, Longfellow Community Council Executive Director, on 3000 Minnehaha Community Engagement from 2022 and 2023.

    Action Taken: Received and filed
  3. 4 Anti-displacement/eviction prevention (2024-00379)

    1. Receiving and filing an update on analysis of national and local municipal policies and processes relating to renter protections, eviction diversion or prevention programs, and anti-displacement programs designed to assist renters and owners, including implementation strategies, resources, and ongoing assessment.

    Action Taken: Postponed to COW meeting of Apr 23, 2024

Settlement Agreement and Consent Decree Subcommittee

  1. 5 Contract with Wiley Reber Law PC for services related for police misconduct investigations in accordance with implementing the court enforceable settlement agreement (2024-00207)

    1. Authorizing a contract with Wiley Reber Law PC in the amount of $1,000,000, for a three (3) year term, Mar 15, 2024, through Mar 15, 2027, for assisting Internal Affairs and the Office of Police Conduct Review with police misconduct investigations.

    Action Taken: Sent forward without recommendation

Addendum

  1. 6 Minnehaha 3000 update (2024-00376)

    1. Approving a legislative directive requesting data regarding the City’s Truth and Reconciliation process , past projects involving City property developed into community-centered projects, pop-up voting centers, and Elections and Voter Services’ potential integration into various City-owned properties.

    Action Taken: Continued to meeting of Apr 23, 2024
