Local Board of Appeal and Equalization
The Local Board of Appeal and Equalization (LBAE) considers appeals from property owners about the classification or estimated market value assessment of their property.
The LBAE must consist of a minimum of 3 people, at least one of whom must be an appraiser, realtor, or other person familiar with property valuations. One member must be a freeholder of the City of Minneapolis.
The Board uses the City's open appointments process.
