Addendum

  1. Directing the Chair and Vice Chair to share the current proposed state legislation on the topic of pretext stops, as contained in MN House File 2529, related to Section 1. [169.984] VEHICLE EQUIPMENT SECONDARY OFFENSES, with the Mayor and the City Council and encourage them to adopt similar policy or regulations for the City of Minneapolis.

    Supporting further examination of the framework proposing potential changes to the scope of the Police Conduct Oversight Commission presented by Council Member Gordon, including potential refinements to that proposal and gathering public input, to be referred to the Policy and Procedure Subcommittee.

    Suspending the hearing of Case Summaries for three months to the August 10, 2021, meeting in order to allow the Office of Police Conduct Review and the Office of the City Clerk to develop more efficient and focused approaches to the Case Synopses and Case Summaries selection process.
