  1. 2 Legal settlement - claim by the City of Minneapolis against Alliance Steel for damage to Fire Department equipment This link open a new window(2018-00176)
    1. Authorizing settlement of a claim by the City of Minneapolis against Alliance Steel under Minnesota Statute 115B.04 in which the City will receive payment of $31,000 arising out of damage to Minneapolis Fire Department equipment in responding to a fire Feb. 18, 2015, at Alliance Steel, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

  2. 3 Legal settlement - citation from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Occupational Safety and Health Division This link open a new window(2018-00175)
    1. Approving the proposed settlement of a citation from Minnesota (MN) Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHA) against the Public Works Department, Inspection No. 318102449, by payment of $3,000 to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    1. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of James Breen by payment in the amount of $167,084.99 to James Breen and his attorney, Lorrie Bescheinen, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    2. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of John Giebel by payment in the amount of $203,229.13 to John Giebel and his attorney, Steven D. Hawn, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    3. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of Donald Switzer by payment in the amount of $104,712.72 to Donald Switzer and his attorney, John Mariani, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    4. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of Raymond Tomlinson by payment in the amount of $211,291.46 to Raymond Tomlinson and his attorney, Richard B. Abrams, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    1. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of Harold Collier by payment in the amount of $95,000 to Harold Collier and his attorneys, Midwest Disability, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

  5. 6 Grant from Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District to fund Downtown 100 and Focus 18/24 This link open a new window(2018-00177)
    1. Accepting a grant from Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District in the amount of $200,000 to fund Downtown 100 and Focus 18/24 probation officers and prosecutor, and authorize amendment to to the contract reflecting the same.

    2. Authorizing amendments to Contract No.s C-39860 (Downtown 100) and C-39859 (Downtown 100 & Focus 18-24) reflecting these monies and additional changes.
    3. Passage of Resolution appropriating the funds to the City Attorney’s office.

  6. 7 Appropriation Resolution amendment for the acceptance of the Prosecutorial Services to Crime Victims Grant for 2018-19. This link open a new window(2018-00174)
    1. Passage of Resolution amending Resolution 2017R-451 entitled "Amending The 2017 General Appropriation Resolution," adopted Nov. 3, 2017, to properly allocate the grant between federal and state funding.

  7. 8 Contract Amendment with Versacon, Inc. for contract close-out on the Convention Center West Entrance Landscape project This link open a new window(2018-00173)
    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-41075 with Versacon, Inc. by $15,160 for a new total of $545,160 to allow for close out and final payment of the Convention Center West Entrance Landscape project.

  8. 9 Contract amendment with Deloitte Consulting LLP for benefits consulting and actuarial services This link open a new window(2018-00091)
    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-41832 with Deloitte Consulting, LLP in the amount of $40,000 for pension liability review related to the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) disclosure requirements and communication with rating agencies related to the City's pension liability.    

  9. 10 Appointed position in the Health Department: Deputy Commissioner of Health This link open a new window(2018-00060)
    1. Adopting findings that the proposed position meets the criteria in Section 20.1010 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, City Council to Establish Positions; and approving the appointed position of Deputy Commissioner of Health, evaluated at 590 total points and allocated to Grade 13.

    2. Passage of Ordinance approving the salary schedule for the position, which has a salary range of $106,447 to $126,186, in accordance with the adopted compensation plan for appointed officials effective Jan. 23, 2018.

  10. 11 Minnesota Department of Health grant for Minneapolis youth/teen sexual health This link open a new window(2018-00065)
    1. Accepting a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health, in the amount of $156,000, for decreasing risk factors and increasing protective factors associated with Minneapolis youth/teen sexual health.
    2. Passage of a Resolution approving the appropriation of funds to the Minneapolis Health Department.

  11. 12 Grant from Public Health Institute (PHI) to address health and climate change in Minneapolis This link open a new window(2018-00068)
    1. Accepting an additional grant from the Public Health Institute (PHI), in the amount of $10,000, for a new not to exceed grant total of $50,000, and extending the termination date to June 30, 2018, to address public health and climate change in Minneapolis.

    2. Authorizing Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 40203 with the Public Health Institute for the additional grant funds.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.

  12. 13 Contract amendment with Coen + Partners for historic preservation architectural and landscape architectural design services for Peavey Plaza This link open a new window(2018-00075)
    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-42061 with Coen + Partners, in the amount of $265,380, for a total amount not to exceed $1,160,380, for additional historic preservation architectural and landscape architectural design services for Peavey Plaza. 

  13. 14 Bid for E River Rd Railroad Crossings Project This link open a new window(2018-00076)
    1. Accepting the only bid of Meyer Contracting, Inc., submitted on Official Publication No. 8498, in the amount of $495,545, to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals for the construction of the E River Rd Railroad Crossings Project for the Public Works Department, and authorizing a contract for the project, all in accordance with City specifications.

  14. 15 Bid for Broadway Street NE Reconstruction Project This link open a new window(2018-00080)
    1. Accepting the low bid of Park Construction Company, submitted on Official Publication No. 8481, in the amount of $ 3,659,770.76, to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals for the Broadway Street NE Street Reconstruction Project (CPV117) - S.P. 141-333-008 for the Public Works Department, and authorizing a contract for the project, all in accordance with City specifications.

  15. 16 Contract amendment with Phytorion, Inc. for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program’s finance reporting services This link open a new window(2018-00085)
    1. Authorizing an extension of Contract No. C-39190 with Phytorion, Inc. for one (1) year through Feb.9, 2019, for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program’s finance reporting services.
