    1. Approving the settlement of the Workers’ Compensation claim of Gary A. Spohn by payment of $210,000 to Gary A. Spohn and his attorneys, SiebenCarey, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    1. Approving the settlement of the personal injury lawsuit of Jeffrey Sandberg by payment of $11,188.43 to Jeffrey Sandberg and his attorneys, Dudley & Smith, and authorizing the City Attorney’s Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

Authorizing waiver of any conflict of interest between the City of Minneapolis and the Gray Plant Mooty law firm arising out of the law firm's proposed representation of the Meyer, Scherer, & Rockcastle, Ltd. architecture firm in contract review and negotiations with the City regarding the Consolidated Office Building project.

  6. 7 Contract amendment with Ungerboeck Systems, Inc. for annual web hosting and maintenance of the Minneapolis Convention Center’s Event Business Management System (EBMS) This link open a new window(2017-01221)

Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C99-13987 with Ungerboeck Systems, Inc., in the amount of $244,000, and extending the contract through Dec. 31, 2020, with the option of two (2) one-year extensions for web hosting and maintenance for the Convention Center Event Business Management System (EBMS).

Authorizing an amendment to Contract No. C-40314 with the University of Minnesota (University) to provide implementation and initial support services to the University for their “4 Walk System,” a scheduling application that integrates with the City's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to provide safe escorts on campus.

Authorizing a contract with Apple, Inc., in an amount not-to-exceed $1,500, for a period of five (5) years and using Apple Inc.'s standard terms and conditions, for the City’s enrollment in Apple’s iOS Developer Enterprise Program, allowing the City to develop and distribute proprietary in-house iOS apps to employees.

    1. Passage of Resolution accepting a donation of $2,750 from the U.S State Department for staff travel to Norway to discuss outreach to immigrant communities.

Setting a public hearing for Dec. 4, 2017, to consider an ordinance amending Appendix C-2 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Centerpoint Energy Minnesota Gas, Gas Franchise Fee, for first reading and referral to the Ways & Means Committee, increasing the percentage rate of the franchise fees for gas one-half percent across all classes of customers..

Setting a public hearing on Dec. 4, 2017, to consider an ordinance amending Appendix D-2 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to The Northern States Power, d/b/a Xcel Energy, Electric Franchise Fee, for first reading and referral to the Ways & Means Committee, increasing the percentage rate of the franchise fees for electricity one-half percent across all classes of customers.

    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-38858 with Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department in the amount of $237,200, and extending the contract through Dec.31, 2018, using the Hennepin County contract form for Detox Van services.

    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-41285 with Minnesota Crisis Intervention Team Officers' Association in the amount of $30,000, for a not-to-exceed total of $205,000, and an extension through Dec. 31, 2018, for additional officer training classes.

    1. Accepting the 2017 Emergency Management Performance Grant award in the amount of $30,000 for the purpose of providing federal funds to states to assist state, local, territorial, and tribal governments in preparing for all hazards.

    2. Passage of Resolution appropriating $30,000 to the Emergency Management Department.

  15. 16 2017 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant to address the unique risk-driven and capabilities-based planning and needs of high-threat, high-density urban areas This link open a new window(2017-01196)
    1. Accepting the 2017 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Award in the amount of $932,400 for the purpose addressing the unique risk-driven and capabilities-based planning, organization, equipment, training, and exercise needs of high-threat, high-density urban areas and assist them in building an enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism.

    2. Passage of Resolution appropriating $932,400 to the Emergency Management Department Department.

    1. Accepting a federal grant through the Minnesota Department of Health in the amount of $317,300 to serve pregnant and parenting at-risk teens.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health for the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.

    1. Passage of Resolution accepting scholarship for travel-related expenses for City Bridge Engineer Jack Yuzna to present a paper at the National Accelerated Bridge Construction Conference from Dec. 7-8, 2017, in Miami, Florida.

    1. Authorizing Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. C-28509 with Keys Well Drilling, increasing the contract by $6,500, for a total contract amount not to exceed $218,085, for an additional four (4) years of pump rental costs for dewatering wells for the 10th Ave Storm Tunnel Project.

    1. Authorizing a funding agreement with Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) in an amount not to exceed $206,000 for the East Watershed Modeling Project.

    1. Accepting the low responsive bid of PCI Roads, Inc., submitted on Official Publication No. 8453, in the amount of $2,847,395 to furnish and deliver all labor, materials, and incidentals for the 10th Ave Storm Tunnel Repairs - Phase V for the City of Minneapolis, Public Works Division, and authorizing a contract for the service, all in accordance with City specifications.

    1. Accepting the low responsive bid of Stonepros LLC, submitted on Official Publication No. 8448, in the amount of $365,700, to furnish and deliver all labor, materials, and incidentals for the removal of snow and ice from public sidewalks for the City of Minneapolis, Public Works Division, and authorizing a contract for the service, all in accordance with City specifications.

    1. Authorizing an extension of Contract No. C-42147 with the University of Minnesota for up to 90 additional days to allow for uninstallation and final payment for the Creative City Challenge temporary public art project.
