Passage of Resolution approving special services, the cost estimates, service charges, and the lists of service charges for 2019 in the Uptown, Dinkytown, Central Avenue, Eat Street, Stadium Village, Linden Hills, Lowry Hill, and 48th Street East and Chicago Avenue South Special Service Districts (SSDs) and directing the Department of Public Works to proceed with the work.

    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting the special assessments in the amount of $9,506 for the 4th St SE (from 25th Ave SE to Malcolm Ave SE) Street Lighting District No. 18LD1.

Passage of Ordinance amending Title 3 by repealing Chapter 56 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Air Pollution and Environmental Protection: Prohibited Discharges to Sanitary or Combined Sewer, repealing regulations for rainleader disconnect and time extension permit language to be incorporated in Title 19, Chapter 511.

    1. Passage of Ordinance amending Title 19 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Water, Sewers and Sewage Disposal, amending regulations to modernize, update, and consolidate sewer regulations, including new regulations on disposal of fats, oil, and grease:

      2. Chapter 511 Sewers and Sewage Disposal.

    1. Authorizing temporary easement agreements with the owners of the properties located at 5140 and 5144 Cedar Ave S for the acquisition of temporary easements in conjunction with the Cedar Ave S  (51st St to 52nd St) Sanitary Reconstruction Project.

  2. 7 Contract amendment with Global Specialty Contractors, Inc. for Northtown Bridge Interpretive Site Project This link open a new window(2018-01200)

Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-42209 with Global Specialty Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $11,257.05, for a total amount not to exceed $781,559.05, and an extension of the effective date of the contract through Dec 31, 2018, to make final payment and close the contract for the Northtown Bridge Interpretive Site.

Passage of Resolution authorizing Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. PW 19-20-15 (City Contract No. C 40670) with Hennepin County, extending the agreement for one year, through Dec 31, 2019, for reimbursing the City for providing routine maintenance on certain County State Aid routes and bridges in the City of Minneapolis.

  4. 9 8th St S (Hennepin Ave to Chicago Ave) Street Reconstruction: Project designation, cost estimate, and setting public hearing This link open a new window(2018-01192)
    1. Passage of Resolution designating the location and improvements proposed to be made in the 8th St S Street Reconstruction Project, Special Improvement of Existing Street No. 2287 (PV054).

    2. Adopting report receiving the cost estimate in the amount of $18,500,000, directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties, and setting a public hearing for Nov 27, 2018, to consider the project, assessments, and the abandonment and removal of areaways in conflict with the project.

  5. 10 North Loop Paving Street Reconstruction (3rd St N, 5th Ave N, 7th Ave N, 8th Ave N, and 9th Ave N): Project designation, cost estimate, and setting public hearing This link open a new window(2018-01193)

Adopting report receiving the cost estimate of $8,641,631, directing the preparation of proposed special assessments against the list of benefited properties, and setting a public hearing for Nov 27, 2018, to consider the project, assessments, and the abandonment and removal of areaways in conflict with the project.

    1. Passage of Resolution authorizing the acceptance of a quit claim deed from the State of Minnesota conveying all its interests in that real estate situated adjacent to Trunk Highway 55, between approximately Franklin Ave E and 54th St E, described in the quit claim deed dated May 2, 2016.

  7. 12 Sidewalk construction permit ordinance This link open a new window(2018-01134)
    1. Setting a public hearing for Nov 7, 2018, to consider an ordinance amending Title 17, Chapter 437 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Streets and Sidewalks: Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Construction, amending requirements to perform sidewalk construction work within the public right-of-way.
