Consent

  1. 2 Contract with Brakins Consulting and Psychological Services for Police employee mental health services This link open a new window(2018-01025)
    1. Authorizing a contract with Brackins Consulting and Psychological Services in an amount up to $120,000 for three (3) years, with the option to extend for two (2) additional years at the city's option, to provide mental health services for Police employees who have experienced a critical or traumatic incident. 

  2. 3 Grant from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety - Office of Traffic Safety for a DWI Enforcement Officer This link open a new window(2018-01028)
      1. Authorizing the acceptance of a grant from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety - Office of Justice Programs (DPS-OJP).
      2. Authorizing a contract for the grant with the Minnesota DPS-OJP in an amount not to exceed $100,217, from Oct.1, 2018 - Sept.30, 2019, for a DWI Officer to enhance DWI traffic enforcement.
  3. 4 Redistribution of pulse oximeters from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to the Minneapolis Fire Department (MFD) This link open a new window(2018-01029)
    1. Passage of Resolution accepting the redistribution of pulse oximeters (small, lightweight medical devices that attach to a fingertip to monitor both pulse and oxygen levels in the blood) from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to the Minneapolis Fire Department (MFD).

  4. 5 Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) Training Academy Reimbursement This link open a new window(2018-01030)
    1. Authorizing acceptance of the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) training academy reimbursement in the amount of $26,030.

    2. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation to the Fire Department.

  5. 6 Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) training reimbursement redistribution This link open a new window(2018-01031)
    1. Authorizing acceptance of the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) redistribution funding under the Round 10 training reimbursement program in the amount of $18,445.83, awarded for MBFTE approved training conducted between July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018.

    2. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation to the Fire Department.

    1. Receiving and filing a report from the Health Department and the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) regarding efforts being made across the enterprise to assist homeless residents of the encampment near the intersection of Hiawatha and Cedar Aves.   

  2. 8 Public Safety & Emergency Management Committee's Community Forums Report This link open a new window(2018-01027)
    1. Receiving and filing the Public Safety & Emergency Management Committee's Community Forums Report regarding the two (2) community meetings held in March and April of this year, for the purpose of policy makers engaging the community in listening sessions about their experiences with police, to explore solutions to the challenges residents face in light of these experiences, and to have a high level dialogue about improving public safety and policing in Minneapolis.
