  1. 2 Legal settlement: Silas Redd, Jr. v. Yolanda Wilks and City of Minneapolis, et al. This link open a new window(2020-01041)
    1. Approving the settlement of the lawsuit Silas Redd, Jr. v. Yolanda Wilks and City of Minneapolis, et al, Hennepin County District Court File No.27-CV-20-7006, by payment of $4,900 to Silas Redd and his counsel, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    1. Approving the settlement of the claim of Safeco Insurance Company on behalf of itself and its insured Kim Hartz, by payment of $31,986.18 to Safeco Insurance Company, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

Approving the settlement of the subrogation claim of American Family Insurance for property damage done to the vehicle of the insured Deron Johnson in a traffic accident on or about March 3, 2020, whereby the City of Minneapolis agrees to pay American Family Insurance the sum of $36,468.43 in exchange for a waiver of all claims against the City of Minneapolis, its employees, and agents, for property damage sustained by their insured Deron Johnson, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate settlement.  

  4. 5 Agreement with the University of Minnesota, John R. Borchert Map Archives, for storage and preservation of maps and atlases This link open a new window(2020-01100)
    1. Authorizing an agreement with the University of Minnesota for the transfer of maps and atlases from the City of Minneapolis to the University of Minnesota, John R. Borchert Map Archives, for the storage and preservation of approximately 330 maps and 40 atlases and to make the collection accessible to the public.  

  5. 6 Collective bargaining agreement: IBEW Electricians, 2018 through 2020 This link open a new window(2020-01046)
    1. Authorizing a collective bargaining agreement with IBEW Electricians for the period May 1, 2018, through Apr 30, 2020, consistent with the terms of the Executive Summary.

    2. Authorizing the Labor Relations Director to implement the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.

  6. 7 Contract amendment with Ebert, Inc. for Fire Station No. 4 Renovations Project This link open a new window(2020-01095)
    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. COM0001757 with Ebert, Inc. (Amendment No. 4), in the amount of $72,546.54 for a total amount not to exceed $2,844,881.43, for construction modifications due to unforeseen site and concrete conditions, mechanical and electrical modifications, and code-related items for the Fire Station No. 4 Renovations Project, all in accordance with City specifications.

    1. Authorizing an extension of the following contracts for two one-year periods to continue a successful arrangement with the current investment pool and to leverage the significant effort and resources spent in extensive negotiation of the original contracts:

      3. Contract No. C-43687 with Bremer Bank, N.A.
      4. Contract No. C-43336 with Merchants Bank, N.A.

    1. Authorizing a non-disclosure agreement with Ingenico Retail Enterprise US, Inc., for credit card processing for the Enterprise Land Management System (ELMS).

  9. 10 Contract amendment with TerminalFour, Inc. for support and maintenance of the City’s Web Content Management System This link open a new window(2020-01096)
    1. Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-44154 with TerminalFour, Inc., in the amount of $278,377 for a total amount not to exceed $1,711,041, for the support and maintenance of the City’s Web Content Management System (WCMS), all in accordance with City specifications.

    1. Receiving and filing a report on final plans and preparations for the 2020 Presidential General Election.

  2. 12 Group Violence Intervention (GVI) strategy This link open a new window(2020-01104)
    1. Directing North Minneapolis Promise Zone staff to:

      1. Collaborate with the Office of Violence Prevention, Minneapolis Police Department, relevant Hennepin County agencies, national and local experts, as well as Northside street outreach teams, community leaders, and service providers to enhance the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) strategy with a particular focus on data-driven street outreach, engagement, and social services with highly targeted law enforcement for individuals who remain violent.
      2. Convene an interagency/cross-sector workgroup made up of key partners to identify the most violent groups and the most active hotspot in the 4th Police Precinct.
      3. Lead a pilot of the enhanced GVI strategy in the 4th Police Precinct.
      4. Seek out additional sources of funding to cover expenses related to the pilot.
      5. Evaluate the impacts of the enhanced GVI strategy during the pilot with recommendations for replication and bringing it to scale.

    1. Receiving and filing an update on activities and progress towards goals for operational and policy priorities in the Strategic and Racial Equity Action Plan (SREAP).
