      1. Ratifying the 2021 calendar of regular meetings for City Council, Council Committees, and Independent Committees, as amended.
      2. Directing the City Clerk to publish and post the 2021 calendar, in amended final form, in appropriate places as notice of regular meetings.
      3. Authorizing the City Clerk to incorporate changes to the 2021 calendar, as necessary, to accommodate the needs of the City Council.

Setting a public hearing for Oct 14, 2020, to consider an ordinance amending Appendix H, Chapter 2 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Minneapolis Cable Communication Franchises: Cable Television Franchise Agreement Between City of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Qwest Broadband Services, Inc., d/b/a CenturyLink, amending Section 2.1 to extend the term of the existing cable franchise agreement with CenturyLink from June 30, 2020, to December 16, 2020.

    1. Passage of Resolution approving the appointment of election judges and deputy city clerks for the Nov 3, 2020, General Election; and authorizing the Director of Elections to appoint additional election judges and deputy city clerks as necessary.

  4. 5 Legal settlement: Workers' Compensation claim and Public Employees Retirement Association Duty Disability appeal concerning Fire Motor Operator Travis Payer This link open a new window(2020-00989)
    1. Approving the settlement of the Workers' Compensation claim of Travis Payer and the City's Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) appeal, by payment of $200,000 to Mr. Payer and his attorneys, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the settlement.

    1. Passage of Resolution amending the 2020 Capital Improvement Appropriation Resolution authorizing closure and appropriation adjustments for capital projects, as indicated on Schedules A thru C, and reallocation of excess bond proceeds to projects requiring additional funding.

    1. Approving the settlement in the lawsuit Mohamed Ahmed v. City of Minneapolis, et al. (Court File No. 27-CV-20-4069) by payment of $9,000 plus mediation costs to Plaintiff and his counsel, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the same.

  7. 8 Contract amendment with B2Gnow/AskReply, Inc. dba B2Gnow for the support and maintenance of the City’s compliance management system This link open a new window(2020-00992)
    1. Authorizing an extension to the initial term of Contract No. C-44407 with B2Gnow / AskReply Inc. dba B2Gnow for an additional one-year term through December 31, 2024, for the support and maintenance of the City’s compliance management system.

    1. Approving payment of the Rule 68 judgment in the lawsuit of Andrew Browne v. Nicholas Sciorrotta, Jr. (Court File No. 20-cv-01569) in the amount of $10,000 to Plaintiff and $4,047.50 to his attorney as reasonable attorney's fees and costs, and authorizing the City Attorney's Office to execute any documents necessary to effectuate satisfaction of the judgment and settlement.

  10. 11 Contract amendment with DataNet Systems Corp., for the support and maintenance of the City’s Legislative Information Management System (LIMS) This link open a new window(2020-00996)
    1. Authorizing an extension to Contract No. C-40242 with DataNet Systems Corp. (DataNet) for an additional five-year period, through September 30, 2025, and increasing the contract in the amount of $400,000 for a total amount not to exceed $1,644,000 for the support and maintenance of the City’s Legislative Information Management System (LIMS).

  11. 12 2020 Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) grant for 2020 Elections. This link open a new window(2020-00997)
    1. Accepting a grant from Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), in the amount of $2,297,342, to implement the Safe Voting Plan, a vision for a safe, inclusive, and secure voting process for the 2020 Elections.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) for the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution adjusting the appropriation and revenue for the Elections and Voter Services Department.

    1. Passage of Resolution authorizing a one-time retirement incentive for eligible city employees ending Dec 31, 2020.

    2. Passage of Resolution authorizing a one-time retirement incentive for eligible Public Works, 911, sworn police and sworn fire employees ending Dec 31, 2020.

    3. Passage of Resolution authorizing a one-time retirement incentive for eligible employees in the Public Works Department divisions of Fleet Services, Transportation Maintenance and Repair, and Traffic and Parking Services Impound Lot, and all employees classified in the job classification titles of Public Works Service Worker I and Public Works Service Worker II in all Public Works divisions ending April 30, 2021.
