  1. 2 Contract with KaJoog Nonprofit Organization for youth engagement and leadership development This link open a new window(2021-00994)
    1. Authorizing a contract with KaJoog Nonprofit Organization in the amount of $60,000 for culturally specific programming for youth engagement and leadership development. 

  2. 3 Contract with Loppet Foundation for running and cross country skiing youth programming This link open a new window(2021-00995)
    1. Authorizing a contract with the Loppet Foundation, inc. in the amount of $30,000 for running and cross country skiing youth programming.

  3. 4 Revenue contract with Minnesota Timberwolves for Minneapolis Police to provide bomb detection at Target Center This link open a new window(2021-01001)
    1. Authorizing a revenue contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, in the amount of $285,000, for bomb detection security services at Target Center during large events.

  4. 5 DWI Court grant for police liaison and DWI defendant monitoring services This link open a new window(2021-01003)
    1. Accepting a grant from DWI Court - State of Minnesota, Fourth Judicial District Court, in the amount of $53,900, for a police liaison and DWI defendant monitoring services, for a one-year period beginning October 1, 2021.

  5. 6 Right to Counsel ordinance This link open a new window(2021-00654)
    1. Setting a public hearing for September 30, 2021, to consider an ordinance amending Title 7 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Civil Rights, adding a new Chapter 143 entitled "Right to Counsel" to create a right to counsel for tenants facing eviction.

  6. 7 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Grant for violence prevention This link open a new window(2021-01002)
    1. Accepting a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the amount of $1,250,000, for the period of September 1, 2021, to August 31, 2026, to implement violence prevention activities under the CDC’s Preventing Violence Affecting Young Lives (PREVAYL) initiative.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.

  7. 8 Contract with Nationwide Mutual Insurance for use of a vehicle by the Police Auto Theft Bait-Vehicle Program This link open a new window(2021-01004)
    1. Authorizing a contract with Nationwide Mutual Insurance for the use of a vehicle by the Police Auto Theft Bait-Vehicle Program for two years.
