    1. Approving the following Mayoral reappointments to the Commission on Civil Rights for three-year terms beginning Jan 1, 2021, and ending Dec 31, 2023: Jared Widseth, Seat 1, Ward 8; Jeffrey Cobia, Seat 4, Ward 10; Kathryn Stevens, Seat 5, Ward 12; and Paul Hurckman, Seat 7, Ward 5.

    2. Approving the following Mayoral appointments to the Commission on Civil Rights for three-year terms beginning Jan 1, 2021, and ending Dec 31, 2023: Andrew Crowder, Seat 2, Ward 13; McKenzie Colas, Seat 3, Ward 7; and Kenneth Rance, Seat 6, Ward 5.

    1. Authorizing the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) to enter into a Release of Liability, Hold Harmless & Defense, and Indemnification agreement with Metropolitan Council (Met Council) related to ownership and maintenance of the Workforce Director system.

    1. Authorizing issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for violence interruption outreach services for the Office of Violence Prevention’s MinneapolUS Strategic Outreach Initiative.

    1. Referring to the Policy & Government Oversight Committee, for the setting of a  public hearing, an ordinance amending Title 2, Chapter 41 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Administration: Information Governance, adding a new article entitled “Facial Recognition Technology.”

  5. 7 Eliminating Child Lead Poisoning Action Plan This link open a new window(2021-00138)
    1. Directing Health Department staff to collaborate with other relevant City departments and jurisdictional agencies, the Public Health Advisory Committee, Housing Advisory Committee, and community stakeholders to develop an Eliminating Child Lead Poisoning Action Plan that includes the following:

      1. Steps and partnerships needed to be taken to completely eliminate new cases of child lead poisoning in Minneapolis,
      2. Any subgoals needed to reach the goal of eliminating child lead poisoning,
      3. Implementation scenarios and timelines,
      4. Budgetary requirements to implement different potential scenarios,
      5. Community input, and
      6. Additional items deemed necessary by content experts.

      Staff will present the Draft Eliminating Child Lead Poisoning Action Plan to the Public Health & Safety Committee by the end of the first quarter of 2021 and post it for public comment. A final Action Plan shall be presented to City Council by the end of the second quarter of 2021.

    1. Receiving and filing a report relating to phase I of community engagement for transforming community safety.

    1. Receiving and filing an update on alternative to police response pilot programs as approved in the 2021 budget, including work to date and a framework for reporting future work.

Directing staff in the Labor Standards Division of the Civil Rights Department to work with the Workplace Advisory Committee to form a Downtown Workers Subcommittee, to identify options for safeguarding the health and safety of the downtown workforce as it returns from shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to report back to the Public Health & Safety Committee with initial recommendations no later than July 31, 2021.
