    1. Authorizing the submittal of a grant application to the Minnesota Department of Health in an amount up to $400,000, for the period Nov 1, 2019 through Sep 29, 2020, for targeted opioid treatment, prevention and recovery services in the City of Minneapolis, with an emphasis on African American and Native American residents.

  3. 4 Grant application to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) for the Cross Sector Innovation Initiative This link open a new window(2019-01118)
    1. Authorizing the submittal of a grant application to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for the Cross Sector Innovation Initiative in an amount up to $150,000, for the period Jan 1, 2020 through Dec 31, 2021.

    1. Accepting a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health, in the amount of $10,771, for a one-year period beginning Oct 1, 2019 through Sep 30, 2020, to implement the Safer Sex Intervention (SSI) project.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.

    1. Accepting a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in the amount of $20,000, for Community Collaborative Learning, for the duration of Sep 15, 2019, through Aug 1, 2020.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Health Department.

    1. Authorizing a contract with We all we got sports and more, in the amount of $6,000, for organizational capacity building under the 2019 Blueprint Approved Institute. 

    2. Authorizing a waiver of the City's general liability insurance requirement for the contract with We all we got sports and more.

    1. Authorizing a Mutual Confidentiality Agreement with TSI Incorporated to test newest models of TSI indoor air quality units for a duration of five years.

    1. Authorizing an increase to contract COM0000067 with Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en la Lucha (CTUL), in the amount of $100,000, for a total amount not to exceed $200,000, for additional services associated with labor standards outreach and vulnerable worker liaison services.

  9. 10 Carry out bags in retail establishments ("Bring Your Own Bag") ordinance This link open a new window(2018-00134)
    1. Setting a public hearing for Nov 18, 2019, to consider an ordinance amending Title 11, Chapter 255 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Health and Sanitation: Garbage and Refuse, amending regulations for the use of carry out bags in retail establishments to require a fee on single use plastic and paper carry out retail bags.

    1. Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 3 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Air Pollution and Environmental Protection, adding thereto a new Chapter 45 entitled Environmental Program Fees to centrally locate existing environmental fees, and amending various provisions to reference the new chapter, update to ensure compliance with state law changes, and for accuracy and clarity:

      1. Chapter 45 Environmental Program Fees.
      2. Chapter 46 Hazardous and Industrial Waste Generation, Handling, Storage and Disposal.
      3. Chapter 48 Minneapolis Watershed Management Authority.
      4. Chapter 50 Minneapolis Waste Control and Waste Discharge Rules.
      5. Chapter 52 Erosion and Sediment Control and Discharge.
      6. Chapter 59 Construction Activities.
    2. Referring to staff the subject matter of an ordinance amending Title 15, Chapter 389 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Offenses--Miscellaneous: Noise, amending provisions to reference proper location of fees for existing permit types within the Code.

    2. Receiving and filing an update report on Home Energy Squad participation, wait times and efforts at reducing them, and current and future efforts at workforce diversification.
