Consent

  1. 2 Project analysis authorization for Seward Commons Phase III: 2200 Snelling Ave S and 1912 22nd St E This link open a new window(2019-00367)
    1. Authorizing staff to continue analysis of the Seward Commons Phase III proposal at 2200 Snelling Ave S and 1912 22nd St E, to determine if tax increment financing (TIF) assistance is appropriate and justifiable.

    2. Authorizing staff to negotiate the terms and conditions of a redevelopment contract with Seward Commons, LLC or an affiliated entity and prepare redevelopment and TIF plans for the project as needed, if further directed analysis concludes TIF assistance is appropriate. All such terms, conditions, plans and other provisions would be subject to City Council review.

    1. Authorizing staff to continue analysis of the 14th and Central proposal at 845 14th Ave NE, to determine if tax increment financing (TIF) assistance is appropriate and justifiable. 

    2. Authorizing staff to negotiate the terms and conditions of a redevelopment contract with 14th and Central, LLLP or an affiliated entity and prepare redevelopment and TIF plans for the project as needed, if further directed analysis concludes TIF assistance is appropriate. All such terms, conditions, plans and other provisions would be subject to City Council review.

    1. Adopting an updated Public Financial Assistance Fee Policy to assist the City in recovering costs relating to the provision of public financial assistance to support development activity.
