Approving one salary step to be temporarily added to the salary schedule for the existing politically-appointed title Principal Policy Aide, and limiting that step rate to an existing position in the Mayor’s office, Position No. 00002140, which shall terminate when either the Mayor determines the step rate is no longer needed or on Dec. 31, 2021, unless further extended by the City Council.
Approving the 2018 salary schedule for the position, which has a salary range of $88,327 to $113,000, to be increased in accordance with any across the board increases provided to the politically-appointed pay group in 2019 through 2021.
Accepting a grant from The Minneapolis Foundation in the amount of $50,000 to secure in-house management and consulting expertise tied to the development of goals and strategies surrounding racial equity gaps in housing, economic inclusion, and police community relations.
Referring the matter to the City Council.
